There’s a new feature on Favstar.  See that little trophy icon over on the right?  Well, if you’ve opted in to the extra features, you can click the trophy to choose the tweet as your ‘Tweet of the Day’.

Naturally, you can only choose one tweet per day, as your Tweet of the Day.  When you do choose one, two things happen right now.  It gets tweeted by @FavstarOfTheDay:

And it gets added to a new ‘Of the Day’ leaderboard page:

The countdown timer for a day is based on your timezone settings in your Twitter profile.  In theory, you should be able to choose one at 11pm, and then another at 2am the next day, if you’re so inclined.  There’s a wee bug at the moment where it doesn’t know about daylight savings.

The feature is pretty young, and I have some ideas on how I’m go to improve it.  Feedback is welcome as usually.
