Favstar.fm

Favstar has something new.  If you star via the site, it will ask you to slow down if you star tweets within 3 seconds of each other.  When first launched it was 4 seconds.  

This is to discourage people from fav’ing a bunch of tweets without reading them.  For a long time Favstar has had users who would visit someone’s page, and star a bunch of tweets without reading them.  I want to discourage this as it really doesn’t help the receiver know which of their tweets you actually appreciated, vs just liking them.

It has the side effect of getting in the way if you read 3 or 4 tweets, and then want to star them, but I’m pretty sure this isn’t a biggy.

If you’re seeing the ‘slow down’ message and there was a pause of way more than 5 seconds between fav’ing tweets, then something’s not working right.  Please let me know.
