A good nights sleep can do wonders for clarity. I think I’ve figured out something that works for everyone who’s expressed dissatisfaction with the recent leaderboard changes, and also works for Favstar going forward.
Sometime in the next couple of days, I’ll be returning the new and rising leaderboard requirements to what they were - 10 stars and 30 stars, with no RT requirement. I’ll also remove keyword filtering on them so no tweets will be filtered from them. The tech and celeb tweets will probably continue to be filtered out though - because I expect that’s what most users of these pages would want.
The two pages will be relabeled and possibly moved in the navigation structure, to warn visitors new to favstar what they’ll be getting into by visiting the pages. Sometimes some pretty wild stuff makes it onto those pages right?
People who have enjoyed Favstar for it’s new and rising leaderboards will soon be able to continue using them the way they’re used to.
Thanks for bearing with me through the roadbumps over the last couple of days. It’s been fun right?
